What started out as a taco or some may call it a hotdog stand, El Guero Canelo has been filling the stomachs of hungry visitors for the past 17 years.
We recently visited the eatery located on Oracle Road in Tucson and enjoyed a variety of foods: Sonoran Dogs (a local favorite), chicken and beef caramelos and burros.
The Sonoran Dog is something to behold: weenie, bacon, beans, onion, tomato, jalapeƱo sauce, mustard, mayo and… I hope I didn’t forget anything. The caramelos come with a choice of chicken or beef, corn or flour tortillas and burro’s pack plenty of flavor. Included with your meal is a salsa bar that contains choices of salsa, cucumbers, peppers and a terrific avocado sauce!
El Guero Canelo is open 7 days a week and serves breakfast as well.
If you’re in Tucson or planning a visit to the area make sure you stop by and give the Sonoran Dog a try.
The Travel Channel’s Adam Richman recently made a visit, watch the video.
